The texture of the matte topcoat is weirdly smooth. I was hoping for something with a little more grit to it. It looks like I forgot to put a topcoat, it doesn't look like I wanted it to be matte intentionally.

This is a solid matte top coat, have not had any issues

I like this top coat, but I have experienced peeling at the tips of my nails. I'll have to be more careful about capping the free edge.
UPDATE: it does work well when you cap the edge (and wipe your nails with alcohol before applying). There's still a tiny bit of peeling at the edges, but that's after weeks of wear

This is the first Matte Top Coat that I buy that works so seamlessly. It left my nails so pretty and velvettty looking. Ive had this set on for a week and the matte finish is still going strong. I am officially a matte girl now.

This is the perfect matte polish because you cannot tell it’s a top coat, it truly just looks like a velvety matte polish and it does give your nail a soft velvet-like feel. Just cap your nail and the top coat doesn’t chip or peel off for 2 weeks. I am nail enthusiast, I learn as a I go so I try as many brands as I can get my hands on and after over 15 kinds, Apres matte no wipe top coat is the one I am sticking with

Every time I've used the matte top coat I get chipping on the free edge. This does not happen when I use the regular shiny one from Apres. 

This Matte top coat will also cause fully cured Apres gel colors to smudge when applied over. I will not be purchasing this matte top coat again.

When I first completed my nails it looked VERY scratched up and I was concerned but by the next morning everything looked gorgeous. Not sure why it looked like that initially (I am not a pro) but after that they looked wonderful and were super long lasting. I am very hard on my nails. My only tip is to make sure you get good coverage from the first coat. I tried to go back and "touch up" a few spots and they looked awful.

I do love the look of this top coat but it's a little different from others I've tried. It left my nails with a rubberized feel that felt like it could be damaged if you hit your nails on something too hard. I've tried others that just left a matte look with no weird texture. I'm not saying it's a bad thing... just different. It gets the job done!

I absolutely love Gel X system. my only wish is that they would create a double zero for those that have bigger sized thumbs because I know that happens more often than people like to think. I feel it would definitely be worth it for Apres to create that double zero nail in each shape. very hesitant on using the system ever again because of not having the right size for my thumbs. if it weren't for that, I would be reordering consistently on a regular basis. I do recommend this system to those that have small sized finger nails or average sized finger nails. They hold up VERY VERY well and when a friend of mine had put the first Gel X system set on me last year, they literally lasted 3 weeks and 3 days and that was when I soaked and filed them off.
