The new era of Gel-X — revolutionizing gel all over again, again.

Gel-X is even easier and more inclusive than before with the introduction of half sizes. Each Gel-X Tip box will include 4.5, 5.5, and 6.5 sizes, making tip sizing and prep even faster and easier!

Each Gel-X Tip has also had a structural redesign. Each tip now has a thinner base end, creating a more natural finish that requires less filing during prep. Each tip also now has a thicker free edge, creating a stronger, more durable Gel-X Tip.

With 600 pieces per box and 14 sizes total, Gel-X is still the pioneer and leader in full coverage soft gel extension system. Applied with our Extend Gel, Gel-X can provide 4+ weeks of beautiful nail extensions. Made of soft gel, Gel-X can be quickly soaked off with acetone.

Our Natural line has a flatter surface with a less pronounced C curve meant for clients with a flatter, wider nail bed.

Our Sculpted line has a higher apex and a deeper C curve, meant for either clients with a curved nail bed or a Natural client who prefers the look of a Sculpted Gel-X Tip.

These tips are just so cute. The Extra Short length works really well on hands with short nail beds. I find that even the short length is too long for daily wear and these work really well. The half sizes are really helpful.

Extra Short in What Universe? Fantastic Otherwise

Context: I purchased natural-profile, coffin, extra short.

First, the positive: these are extremely high quality and easy to use for a DIY nail enthusiast. This is my first time using a product like this and I had an easy enough time applying, though my first nail was a learning curve (I had difficulty maintaining pressure while flash curing, so I had some gaps between my extension and nail bed BUT it still held strong for a full two weeks despite my error). They grew out beautifully with minimal lifting that is more attributable to my inexperience with the product than the product itself; I got to 14 days before losing a nail (and it wasn't the first nail I mentioned above!). I have every confidence that subsequent sets would improve. They are strong, durable, and beautiful. I'm an advocate of the product, generally.

Second, the critical: measurements such as, "long, extra short, etc" are subjective. I specifically waited for these because I work with my hands and can't do super long nails. The extra short is still quite long and will be for many people except those with long nail beds. It would be helpful if Apres could share some measurements, such as, "Size 00 is X mm long from cuticle end to tip; Size 4 is Y mm long, etc" - not even for all sizes, just pick 3-5 sizes for a style and share that. Of course, these can be cut and filed - and I did, but I was hoping I wouldn't need to file a quarter of it away because I was hoping these would help me achieve a quicker service time (on myself) in contrast with a builder gel overlay. With the filing needed to be a useable length for me, it didn't unfortunately. I ultimately passed my set to my niece who is a nail technician and will benefit from the product in her business.

Additionally, the half sizes are a great inclusion, but I still had some weirdness with sizing and had to reshape the cuticle edges for 1-2 nails for a fit. This isn't the end of the world; you have to expect this to some extent, one-size/shape rarely fits all. Absolutely not a dealbreaker.
