Gel-X® Natural Stiletto Long Box of Tips - Pro (600pcs)

These tips are ridiculously narrow and half of them don't fit my nails. I have very normal nail beds (actually I tend to get complimented on them by other nail techs). This was my first time buying tips from the actual Gel-X brand, I've been using the amazon versions. I've never had a sizing issue with any other brand so this is really disappointing -- and they are not cheap!

The widths of these nails, especially the width under the curve for the supposed wider sizes (ie Sizes 00, 0, 1, ect) are ridiculously narrow!!!! A normal measurement for the width under the curve for a Size 0 normally runs around 18mm. These nails only go up to 16.5mm for Size 00, which should be an extra large width and the Size 0 only 16mm wide. These are *extremely* narrow measurements for these supposed wider sizes of nails. This makes them useless for many of our clients.

It's like they threw in Size 00 for marketing purposes instead of making a true extra wide Size 00 nail. Many people think Aprés has wider nails available because of the 00 size available and they're one of the most narrow brands we have worked with.

We bought these and several others to see if they were really that narrow and they absolutely are! The majority of their nails have narrow IC (width under the curve) measurements and only one style actually has measurements that are close to what one would expect for a Size 00 or any of the larger sizes. Only one style having a reasonable 00 width is unacceptable and completely uninclusive!

We're giving 3 stars because they seem to be quality nails, but they are useless if they don't create sizes that have the expected width measurements for the supposedly wider sizes. When we told other nail professionals how narrow they actually measure they were shocked because the measurements don't line up with industry standards.

Shame, as we like some aspects of the nails, but not very useful for our wider nailed clients. Supposedly they have made Size 000 available recently, but they don't give the measurements online and they're not refundable. If 0 and 00 are so narrow, we don't have great hopes for a Size 000 that doesn't include measurements.

We're EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of inclusivity for our wider nail clients. Catch up with the times Aprés! Men and women are regularly getting enhancements now and wide nailed women and men don't deserve to be left out. Aprés should not even be using Size 00 or higher as they're completely misleading. There are other gel nails go up to 20mm for a Size 0. We would like to stick with Aprés, but won't be able to unless they stand by our wider nailed clients, friends and family. This shouldn't be an issue in this day and age!

I never used the original gel-x, but the new ones are amazing! I wear them for 3 weeks at a time. And the time I spend doing my nails is half of what it was. Highly recommend!
